I need a warm bridge pickup for my bright Studio and would like to stay in the budget-minded arena.

What do you recommend for 70's to 80's rock, low to medium output.

There are a couple that come to mind - Dimarzio Air Zone and Gibson '57 Classic. I tried - and really like - the Dimarzio Super Distortion. It's a smooth pickup - and has that classic 70's HB rock tone. I've got it paired up with an Air Norton in the neck in a Gold Top Standard. It's my main gigging axe.

Try Jim Wagner at WCR pickups. Crossroads, Fillmore's and Darbursts would work well for an LP or you could try the Hercules for metal. Jim's really helpful too!

Even if I have WCR Goodwoods and I had Lollars in my quite bright guitar, I miss the Duncan Custom Custom on bridge. Wonderful pickup.

WCR and Lollars are really better than Duncan though.

I just put some High Order pickups in my Les Paul. I highly recommend them. Jeff did a custom wind for me and I could not be happier. He nailed exactly what I requested.
