Name the amp that you love but almost everyone else hates.....
Peavey Rage 158. Through a decent speaker, mind you
Wha? Why would anyone hate that amp? Swap out the speakers and voila... that's what I'm about to do with mine after having it hooked up to a decent 4x12. Sounds almost exactly like my VH100R
Exactly I had mine turned into a head and it's great, I'm using a 2x12 with a Emi Wizard and a Stonehenge or a 4x12 with four Man O War. I also had some of the resistors changed to bring the vol down a bit and with the FX knob trick I can use it at home and at gigs. Great amp but most people I talk to just say too much treble and crappy FX loops. Go figure?
I love my little blackheart, but no one seems to take them seriously.
yes ladies I like it, nos tubes and G12-65's and it's instant 80s cock rock.
Mesa Stilletto Ace.
Fender Prosonic...it has it's fans but we are a small and isolated few.
Line 6 Spider Valve head. I run this guy through an oversized marshall cab with 2 greenbacks and it just plain kicks. And i'm not playing metal at all. The heaviest i'll get is Fair Warning-ish VH. Great amp.
Marshall 2210. Most corksniffers give it a bad rap due to the diode clipping in the gain channel. I get tone for days out of my rig.
My Vox AC30. I love it, but every audio engineer i meet hates it
Early 80s (Rivera-era) Fender Concert. I bought it cheap 15 years ago and have been using it as my #1 amp ever since. Great, great amp that never seems to get much credit.
I my Pathfinder 15R, best little amp i ever owned for quiet practice at home, and its "solid state" :AOK *gasp*
vox ac30cc2. People who have played it love it. People who concentrated on the MiC label, don't.
Fender Performer 1000 aka Roc Pro 1000.
They all eventually break down but are Krankin little amps.
Oh yeah the other amp in my rig is a Peavey mid 70's early 80's Classic 2x12. Probably one of the ugliest amps ever but thats cool, then people dont expect much. I then proceed to melt their faces of with my incendiary guitar licks....:RoCkIn Watch this run....
Cheap amps, great tone, go figure. :NUTS
JCM900. I loved my 50 watt combo.
My Silverface 135W UL Twin Reverb. Yes, I have BF Fenders too so I know what they sound like, and yes, I use the Twin most of time anyway.
I played 1 tonemaster that was killing & 2 others that totally sucked.
