Does anyone know what kind of Telecaster Nancy Wilson from Heart uses? I saw an 1981 clip on you tube of Heart performing Bebe Le Strange and Nancy was using a blue Telecaster with a rosewood neck, matching headstock and a humbucker for the neck pickup. Does anyone hava any info on this?
That guitar caught my eye and I may want to get one now.:RoCkIn

i don't know that particualr guitar, but just wanted to add I saw them live last summer, and they had SWEET gear. Nice Fender rigs, mixed with some Orange amps/cabs, and strats/teles/LP's for days. Great tones, great players, great band. Good luck in your search

    Another response with no answer:

I've seen Nancy using that same Tele very recently.

In 1981, the options would've been few. It's probably an early-mid sixties custom color Tele with an added neck humbucker.

Back in the day she used a blue tele a lot. On Passion Works there was a song called blue guitar. She also used to use the good old natural tele with maple board----who hasn't used one of those at one point or another. Howard Leese was the man. I miss him not being in that band anymore.

Remember when Ann was hot? I don't but I've seen the pictures. Wowza. I've actully gotten kind of into them lately. They live 18 miles from me I should go see 'em one of these days. I know nothing about that guitar.

I think the blue Tele I've seen her with lately has the modern American Series style bridge/saddles. Could have been added later, but I'm guessing it's a newer guitar than the one seen in '81--probably Custom Shop?

Nancy still looks good, Ann is looking more like Carnie Wilson before the stomach stapling.

Hey Long2Play that is the Tele I am talking about. Anyone know the spec's and year of it?
Anyone cutting Ann down because of her apperance, shame on you. She is a beautiful person and has a heart of gold. I am sure some of us on this post would not pass for hot material in the apperance section. Plus the woman can sing with ranges that is amazing. My hat goes off to Ann for being a cool person and a rock n roller.
I saw Heart this past January at the Namm show performing. I was standing right in front of the stage and Nancy and Ann would walk over to me and jam right in front of me. How cool is that!:D

I had a big crush on Nancy before I had a crush on Stevie Nicks which was after I had a crush on Suzi Quattro.

Heart = great rock band. I'd love to see them again, its been many many years since the last time. I'll bet they still sound great.
