He does a great job!
i agree. it helps that he seems uncomfortable and a little out of place in those schmoozy morning "news" shows..the sign of a serious reporter IMO.
Every TGP thread has a Seinfeld episode that applies to it in one way or another. Let this one be no exception.
he's a serviceable talking head.
He does a good job reading a teleprompter. Glad you are impressed.
I like him. He was the local news guy in Chicago while I was growing up. Seems like he injects less of his 'personality' than others, which I appreciate. It's the news after all, not Brian Williams Adventure Hour Tales, J. Peterman style.
You mean, he wont be?
I figured it was a done deal.
Playing a Lawsuit?
Um, Lester: Deb Turness on line one...
He lost me in 2009 when he said that "....more than 90% of plane crashes happen within 100 feet of the ground".
If he were to vanish altogether, I'd be A-OK with that.
And, no, I DON'T want Williams back.
"Good evening, I'm Lllllllllllllllllester Holt."
Who's the white guy?
And the best decorative glasses since Howie Long. How cute.
A great job of what? Reading off the teleprompter to tell us about the weather? The "world news" isn't news
His name is Lester Holt, he's a teleprompter reader on NBC.
The black guy was going out with the Hispanic girl on Seinfeld.
Anyone here who thinks Brian Williams is getting that job back, I got a bridge Id like to sell you.
yea, he's getting his job back. some mea culpas, and some serious soul searching and he'll be golden.
He's a real reporter. He works his ass off, sometimes going months without a day off. And he's in the field, on the ground, for just about every big story. Sometimes the first one there.
And he's old school.. the news is the star.
I think Brian is done at NBC but guys like that land on their feet though... Look at Geraldo Rivera and Keith Olbermann over the years. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back on another network.
I like Lester Holt okay, but I don't watch that network anyway.
Lester looks so smart.
I love Seinfeld, and that was a genius episode.
