Somebody really needs to get their lips off of Coach K's rear-end.

Did not win the regular season. Did not even make the finals of the ACC tourney. But Duke is a number one?

Very happy UCLA made it in though.

A lot of people want to know why UCLA is in there.

Good question, I wasn't expecting it. They did not have a good record against ranked teams. But they did finish fourth in the Pac 12 which is a very tough conference.

    I don't get bracket logic.

Not terribly happy that Kansas potentially faces Wichita State early, or that they are in the same bracket as Kentucky.

It's debatable but I think the logic is that the Big 12 is the toughest league in the nation. :hide

Some bracketologists or (maybe all by now), have moved Iowa St. to the #2 seed and Kansas to the #3 seed.

Those Iowa St. folks partied in KC through the Big 12 tourney, local radio was at a bar and there were many Cyclones fans drinking at noon waiting for an 8:30 pm tipoff. lol

UVA simply got screwed...seeding should be based on body of work, and even if it's based on recent performance, they should out-seed Duke. UVA won the ACC regular season, both lost in the ACC semis. Yes, Duke beat them when they met but UVA lost 3 games all to teams ranked above 18th in the nation, while Duke lost to like Miami and another team or two that were unranked. Now UVA has the toughest road...has to go through MSU and Oklahoma only to face Villanova to get out of the East. Brutal. Duke has a fairly straight shot to the Elite 8. Stupid dookies! haha

Selection day usually makes a lot of people mad. I think they get it right 99.9% of the time.

They do from me, but most of the talking heads have them as the first no.1 to go down.

    This.

    Arizona deserves the #1 instead.

    ND should have been a 2 Seed…but we'll take 3.

ND, Purdue, Valpo, Butler, IU…all made it to the dance!

Two words left to say…BEAT KENTUCKY!

    That is all,

    S.

Cincinnati surprised me with a #8 seed, I thought we'd drop to a #10 seed after losing to UCONN. We're matched up against Purdue in the first round... IF we manage to win, we'll get Kentucky next...

Not only did Duke get a #1 seed, but they got arguably the easiest bracket, and basically playing at home as well.

And what about Murray State? Ranked #25 in the nation but lost in the OVC Championship game and don't get selected? Duke didn't even make it to the ACC Championship game!...... :dunno If being ranked #25 in the nation doesn't get a team in (arguably) the top 70 teams in the country, then the season rankings don't matter, and mid-major teams should NEVER be ranked!

I honestly Had Duke as a 2 seed, but several reputable bracketologists had them as a 1 seed. Joe Lunardi usually nails it, and he gave them a 1 seed. I'm sure Kentucky didn't like that. :roll

    I agree. I think ND should have been a 2 and Kansas a 3.

I was pretty confident UCLA would make it. Pretty confident they will beat SMU too.
