Can anyone recommend an inexpensive FTP server that's fast and relatively problem-free?

I can find cheap sites easily enough; I need a one that's reliable, too!

    Thanks

What approximate bandwidth would you be accessing the storage monthly?

Also, what's "inexpensive" for you? ballpark figures??

If you have reliable high speed internet service I'd suggest running your own FTP server. You can buy network drives with 500G or 1TB of space, with FTP server capacity.

I have a couple Buffalo Linkstation drives running FTP. I back each one up with its own USB backup drive. A 500G linkstation is under $ 200 easy now.

You can run anonymous FTP if you want to give people access, or you can run usernames/passwords. I only use mine for myself and a couple of friends to share large files.

If you buy a site at Godaddy its cheap and reliable - not sure what the price/space is but I bough a web hosting sight a few years ago that has at least a few GB and I think its $45 a year - never had a problem.

Thanks for the responses, all... yesterday I was in a crunch situation and had not heard back from my web hosting, so I was scrambling.

I finally heard back from them this morning and they set me up with plenty of additional storage at a very good price, so I'm in good shape now.

    Thanks again for the replies.
