    Hi guys,

I've got a good friend who lives in Lecanto, FL, which is in the middle of nowhere - 75 miles southwest of Orlando, and about 85 miles northeast of Tampa/St. Pete.

His SG fell off a music stand and was fractured right at the nut and he needs a good repair.

Anyone know of a top-flight guitar tech in that vicinity that I can relay to him? I'll need phone numbers and e-mail addresses.

    Thanks!

Precision Guitar, google it. On the east coast.

Btw, 75 miles SW of O-town, 85 miles NE of Tampa. Does not compute. :nuts:huh

Probabaly more like 80 miles north of Tampa/St. Pete, and 70 miles west (and slightly south) of Orlando...at any rate, the town is called Lecanto, FL

I'd have him call Charlie at Arrowhead music. I haven't had him do headstock repairs, but for other stuff, he's really good. He's an older guy that worked for Gibson for 25 years I believe. Lives and works out of a little house and has hundreds of old-school instruments sitting around. Stepping in there is like going back in time 50 years or so into an old-world woodworking shop.

I would imagine he'd do a really good job.

Why not look into the Ocala - Gainsville area? Or have you already?

I wondered about that... I had heard that J. Michael was closing up the storefront a couple years ago, but thought that he was still working 'on the side'.

Oh well, I've always done my own tech work anyways. :dunno
