    Hello Folks:

I have a collection of guitars that need some work. Most significant may be a Custom Shop Gibson J-200 that may have a cracked top.

I'd also like to get my custom LP refretted, and basic setups for a Jem and tele.

I have been putting off needed repairs out of fear of not knowing who to trust, but it's time to make the leap. Willing to pay a little extra if necessary for the best.

    Thanks TGP

I used Rusan Guitar Works in Bloomington several years ago-awesome. I've heard nothing but good things about him. His number is 952-941-8935.

Rob Dixon at Prariewood Guitars is excellent: I don't know if he works on acoustics, but he builds and repairs electrics very well.

    rob@prairiewoodguitars.com or phone at 612.840.3967 - He's in Edina.

    Hope this helps, Dana O.

I'm not sure. I'd call first. I had a bass he went over and my band mates had several electrics. I do know he's always busy-which,IMO,is a good thing!! Good luck-that J-200 sounds awesome!

Charlie Hoffman is a highly respected builder of acoustic guitars. He has a staff that does great work on electrics, but his specialty is designing, building and repairing steel string acoustics.

Some good recommendations here. I take my stuff (acoustic and electric) to Mr Marks in Anoka. He's done refrets, neck resets, crack repair...great work and inexpensive as well.

I forgot about Mr. Marks. I've had great luck there as well.
