Hi everyone. I foolishly sold my TRex Replica and so now want to either purchase that pedal again, or buy something better.

    Not a Strymon Timeline.

Should I go for the Eventide Timefactor? Any suggestions on what I should focus on? I dont want to spend a ton of money.

I just want to make quality dotted 8ths.

If you just want dotted 8th a TF is very much overkill. Get an El Cap or maybe a TC Repeater if you're on a tighter budget.

    DD-5 does a solid dotted 8th.

For good dotted eighths, Boss DD5 or DD20 (if you want more options than just digital, such as analog, tape, reverse, etc).

"TGP Quality" - sounds like "Guitar Player's Editor's Pick" or "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" ;)

Nova Repeater is a great suggestion (as well as the dd-5).

Diamond ML Jr. Would be a great replacement for the Trex, plus modulation!

Nova delay and repeater are good. BossDD5 is awesome for dotted 8ths, DD7 if you want a good looper and analog delay to mess with?
If you are considering a multi delay, Maybe hold out on price for the vox delaylab? Or something else GAS worthy once NAMM Is over.

Price is the only qualifier for "TGP Quality".

Otherwise a DD-7, Nova Repeater, or DD-20 would be great.

I'm in that search myself - so far Diamond Memory Lane Jr looks good, El Cap too.
Do you need tap tempo? Modulation looks like the "exciting trend".

TGP quality...guess that means overhyped, overpriced, and a long waiting list.

There can only be one choice... Strymon Timeline

Ja, reinforcing here that you take full advantage of your timing here and make sure to take in what NAMM presentith. Then proceed on yo' best hunches after sifting through and reading up and listening to clips. If you'd said analog that would narrow your choices a lot more than digital. It's a big help that you have the benchmark of the Replica. Agreed that you'd have overkill with a TL or TF. I'll let others follow on with recommendations.

For a guy who doesn't want to spend much and only do dotted 1/8ths this seems like the ideal choice. I wonder why no one else mentioned it.
