So I've been using the DC Brick for a few years now and I think it's about on its last breath. It can't power all my pedals anymore without entering that deactivation mode (I read about it somewhere else on the board).

Some even said that the DC Brick isn't worth what it sells for...but I think it's served me well for the amount I paid and played. But I am down for something better if anyone could any recommendations. Preferably something like the DC Brick where it's (1) easily purchasable (mass produced) (2) not a daisy-chain unit like the OneSpot (3) something that is more powerful and just as compact to put onto my board without hogging too much room.

Thanks!!

I've been using two of the original Voodoo Lab Pedal Power I units for around ten years at this point with no problems whatsoever from either of them, great units that are quiet, reliable, readily available and have good customer support from VL. Highly recommended...

How many pedals are you looking to power, and what are their power requirements? For the price of the DC Brick, I would suggest the Voodoo Lab ISO-5 @ $109 or the T-Rex Fuel Tank Jr @ $99. They both have isolated outlets and have a Toriodal transformer for combatting noise/hum issues.
Check out Stinkfoot's website, very informative: http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/power/psu.htm

meterman - yeah i'm familiar with the voodoo lab power supplies. never used them personally but they seem promising. i'll be sure to look into them more. thanks for the feedback! it's always nice to hear from an owner of the product.

jnepo1 - The most I run is about 6-7. Most of them take a 9V but I think my EHX Deluxe Memory Boy requires more...that's actually the one that causes my DC Brick to stop working. Between the ISO-5 and Fuel Tank Jr...which would you recommend? Your pedalboard is insane (in a good way)!

I believe the EHX Memory Boy is 9VDC @ 45mA. If it is the Deluxe Memory Man, then I think that is actually 24VDC. But if what you have is actuallly the Memory Boy, then it will be okay powering it thru either the ISO-5 or Fuel Tank JR. Both power supplies are similar, although I only have experience w/ the ISO-5. Either way you go, I'm sure you will be happy w/ the end result. The ISO is more versatile in that it has outlets to power 9V, 12V, and 18V effects. Whereas the Fuel Tank Jr is a 9V power supply, and that you can use a cable doubler to connect 2 outlets to achieve 18V.
In the case of your DC Brick not functioning properly w/ the Memory Boy, it maybe that you have exceeded the mA limit of the Brick, that being 1000mA, just a thought.
Getting back to the Jr and ISO, you could daisy chain off of the outlets if need be. You just need to make sure you don't exceed the mA limitations of each isolated outlet. Seriously, take your pick between the 2. With the exception of the 12V outlet on the ISO, the big difference would be the $10 price discrepancy.

I power up to 7 effects at 9vDC and 1 at 18v with the FT Junior - it's a great supply IMO. You can find them new with ecoupons for like $80 shipped.
