ok, i have a tim for low gain stuff, a COT into Tim for marshally stuff now i want a pedal that will bring me to a singing ballsy big fat round grainy but smooth not overly compressed sustaining leads.

    Heres what im thinking:

    Eternity
    EGDM
    Landgraff
    Dyna-red

    Any other suggestions

    No fuzzes. OD/dist only.

I just saw that Bob Bradshaw from Custom Audio Electronics has designed some pedals for MXR. There was a boost/overdrive.....

There is the link for the OD/Boost pedal that I think looks very interesting.

Try a Tone Press feeding the Tim.

That's obviously the Eternity. If you boost it into your "marshall" setup there, you'll get a GREAT lead tone.

Edit: Although it can do a great lead tone on it's own into a clean amp also, if you like.

Which is more available (w/o eBay inflation) of EGDM or Eternity....I
assume EGDM isn't available for awhile...

That sounds a lot like the Hermida Mosferatu.

I have an E and for me it is fantastic at the singing lead stuff. The E has almost infinite sustain even with the gain at moderate levels. The E will give you singing leads at overdrive levels, it's awesome. The E feels and sounds like an amp that has a lot of gain but it does it with much less gain, if that makes any sense. You may want to try the landgraff Mo'd also I have heard it is great for this type of sound as well.

Xotic BB Preamp fits the bill, but may be a little too compressed.
At half the price of an E or BJF it's worth a try.

    +1 on the E. Particularly Cot50 pushing the E.

Check out the Foxrox ZIM. Tons of tones in that one and can be cascaded together for some very sweet singing sustain. Plus- you can swap out the cards for more sounds.

The Tone Press w/ the Timmy sounds good.

I always stand by my Tonebone, and I guess I'll do it again.

I agree with and use the E, but I was not a big fan of the COT stacked into the E. I know everyone loves it, but I prefer the E by itself turned up a little more. Different strokes.

the E is probably the ticket, but if you play humbuckers the Xotic BB can give some nice singing leads.
