Need a replacement pickup for my Hagstrom Condor. Or do I pot the pickup myself..

I love the sound of the pickup, but it is too squeally at gig volumes. Before you jamokes tell me to turn down the gain, my project uses a certain amount of fuzz/gain and that is not negotiable.

The guitar is a current issue Hagstrom Condor. Pickups are squared off. I don't know if anybody makes replacements or if I just have to get this rewound. I wonder if I could pot it myself before I decide to buy new..

If the bobbins can handle the Heat, pot it. Why not?
Are you set up to pot pickups?

50% parafin, 50% beeswax @ 150 degrees and a good soaking.
Rattle and bob it in the liquid for a bit to get the air pockets out.
I usually let them sit in there for about 20 minutes.
Pull and let cool.
Any excess can be removed with a towel you don't need anymore and some naptha.
