Spotted a 1971 Gibson SG Pro today, and am interested in your thoughts on this guitar. The '71 SG Pro was a one year only guitar from what I can see, and had a Bigsby tremolo. This one appears to be in very nice condition given it's age, kind of a closet classic and played very little. What are your thoughts as far as dollar value? Gotta move quick before it disappears.

Thanks! They want $2199 for the one near me, so I guess it's no real deal.

Yeah, at that price, there is no chance of it "disappearing" fast....unless an uninformed buyer walks in.

    Edited to add:

Did you get to play it? Did you like it? You might be able to print the G-Base page and use that to obtain a better (more realistic) price if you did. Just a thought.

Didn't get a chance to try it. May stop by again at lunch time tomorrow.
