What is the singer playing? It looks like some sort of Gibson.

Should be some kind of warning in this thread that THAT was coming. I fast forward my DVR through commercials specifically to avoid the free-credit-report.com ones.

    It's not a Gibby - that headstock's not right.

Hagstrom Viking would be my guess, but the points may be a little too pointy. Hard to tell from such a small sample.

Plus I turned the sound off so that didn't help. :)

Yes, and it is a flat-top, which neither the Gibby nor the Hagy is... I would guess some kind of cheap asian import of that reason.

I'm gonna stick with a Gibson of some sort.

The points are offsent, almost like a Fender Starcaster.

Looks like it, but I think his has a more Firebird like headstock. Could it be a custom shop piece of some sort?

    Yep. High Roller it is.

Does anyone here honestly really think that it wouldn't be a Gibson after all the money they spent in product placement for the free-credit-report-dot-com-band-contest and subsequent commercials? Gibson got sick of seeing Telecasters in the previous band's commercials - now they've got their name on EVERYTHING in the new commercials, including the "tour bus".
