    I own guitars with Humbuckers, I own a Strat & a Tele.
What I am looking for is a PUP with the clarity of singlecoils (with less or no noise) and the warmth of humbuckers (without that woofy midrange.)
TONE is the bottom line & if I could characterize what I'm looking for it would be something like a Tele on steroids.
I play classic rock & blues styles, No Death Metal Dork Am I.
My biggest influences are Rev. Billy F. Gibbons, Keith Richards, & Jimi Hendrix.
I will be putting whatever this is in a Strat.
So what PUP am I searching for?
    P-90's?
    Minihumbuckers?
    Something Else?
    Who makes it?
Any help &/or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    THANK YOU, BROTHERS & SISTERS!

A Lindy Fralin Steele Pole 43 (SP43) is about the thickest, fattest, most useable bridge single coil I am aware of.

mini humbuckers are definately capable of giving you those qualities, that was one of my favorite things about my old firebird, those pickups really cut but have a whole lot of ass behind them!

Bill Lawrence pickups. The lower inductance models are just as you describe.

If it has to be single coil size, try the Duncan 59. I have one in a G&L Bluesboy and like it a lot.

Yeah, you'd love mini-hums. Duncans are good, and the new Tom Anderson M series are the best yet IMO, but I don't know if they're sold seperately.

Harmonic Design super 90 in the bridge with the vintage + in the neck and middle. Great Pups.

Perhaps I should load up one with P-90s & one with Mini-Hums, sounds like fun!

For buckers I'm a huge fan of the Duncan 59' .... but it sounds like you want a P-90 ......

If you are looking to Tele-up your strat.... check out the Rio Grande Stelly...

Or maybe the Dirty Harry or Dirty Harry Jr.
