I'm a bit dissatisfied with one of my distortion pedals. My current setup I have a Zvex Double Rock for lighter gain, then a Dreamsicle (Big Muff Clone) for heavier fuzz. I need something in between those 2. I've tried quite a few, and I've been using a Marshall Jackhammer. It's pretty good but it's a bit muddy and compressed.

I'm looking for something in the heavier Marshall flavor. Similar to the jackhammer but better. Any recommendations?

I've tried the Bogner pedals, Rat Deucetone (with LM308 mod), Shredmaster, and didn't like any of those. Definitely need something in the Marshall realm.

    Ideal tone would be: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uca42KnHg2U
That live tone should be achievable..

I think the OCD is worth checking out.

If you didn't care about the Marshall flavor I'd say look at the VFE Dark Horse.

appreciate the suggestion, so I believe the double rock is based on the jtm like the charlie brown, so it would be a bit redundant.

yes, the ocd! I completely forgot about that, I'll listen to some sample and decide

If you are looking at the OCD then you should consider the Barber Compact Direct Drive.

    (Ha... I didn't say Gain Changer! :D )

The Plexidrive is fantastic. I'd call it a Riot killer.

What about a Rat type pedal?

The Hartman LM308 has been treating me very well. Can be dialed in anywhere between light overdrive to saturated distortion.

Love the pumpkins. What I use for that spot on my pedalboard is a Catalinbread DLS Mk. III. I crank the gain all the way and it gets pretty heavy. I think it does that clip from the video well. It's between my muff and my JHS twin twelve. Watch some videos!

I just picked up a Marvel Drive. I think it would it would be perfect between a BORish pedal and a Muff.
