Need some help with the level controls of the effects loop of my PWE Event Horizon

Dont' usually run things through a loop. My Emplex has no loop and any other amp I have had with a loop didn't have any send/receive level controls. I seem to be either boosting the volume or cutting the volume depending on where I set the knobs. I know its just two knobs to adjust but that can create a few different combinations. Can anyone give me a good starting point or advice. Is either of the controls more important than the other? I suppose any one that has an amp with a buffered loop could probably give me some good advice.

I wouldn't think it would boost anything at all?

Two level controls can make for the best volume mgmt available...

I run my Receive at about 10 am and my Transmit at about 2 pm. I am running a Boss DD-20 delay through the loop. Those settings or close to those setting seem to work good.

Also on the foot-switch, turn the loop off and on during your set-up of the loop controls to balance and adjust the volumes so there is no change in volume when dis-engaging the loop.

ok this must be what he meant about boost.

footswitchable loops are pretty rare, and they are such an asset.
