I picked up a 1977 100watt Marshall 1960 Lead cab yesterday (empty box; needs speakers) because it is in such nice original shape and I thought a resoration project might be fun

I was looking to either put it back to original or maybe throw in some newer stuff. I'm after vintage Marshall tone of course, so is there anything you'd recommend I'd look at other than some used Rolas?

    Thanks!

    Nope!

Get some 70's blackbacks, creambacks, or greenbacks, or some newer used English greenbacks (don't compromise with the Chinese junk)... can't go wrong with any of them, and your cab will still sound like a Marshall cab should.

Thats what I suspected. So for a complete newbie at this (me!) how do I tell? Can you give me some specific things to look for or point me to a website that has all of this comprehensive knowledge? I'd sure appreciate any help I can get Thanks!
