I have two Celestion Blues that need to be reconed and am looking for suggestions as to the best way to accomplish.

I have seen the recone kits online and feel fairly confident that I could accomplish the task myself, but it seems none of the kits include instructions, glue, etc., just the cone, spider, coil and surround. I see this becoming a nightmare for some reason.

Otherwise, I could send them off to have them reconed but have read stories of people receiving their speakers from certain recone specialists and the speakers not sounding like they once did. Austin Speaker Works and Weber I believe are two options; there are probably many more.

    So what say ye?

Here for now, Europe when I die. Am I dead yet?
If you are going to send them out, it is better to send them back to the manufacturer, if possible. Does Celestion have a repair center in the USA?

No idea. I can check on that. I'd much rather do that than use a 3rd party.
