Just exchanged some texts from a neighbor who had visited the free food truck today just down the road...asked if I'd like some of her food... Hmm. Said I was not poor yet but she offered some bananas (big bunch of 'em, she's allergic) and 2 English cucumbers. Was very thankful for her generosity and thought to return the favor by offering her a ride to/from a music jam this weekend (her PU truck's in need of repair), if I feel OK then, or Sunday, back from the repair shop when she provides the truck to the mechanic for repair. The mindset she said was before walking away was, "It's the way we were taught as youngsters, to share when others might need something. I realize you're not poor, but sharing is the right way." So, thank you, good neighbor. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
