Was epic. Go see them if you can, it's the real deal. I've seen him a few times backed by Crazy Horse, Booker T, and some other random lineup and this band does a phenomenal job. The show is AWESOME starting with some solo Neil and then the band coming in for the rest of the night.

Very Crazy Horse-ish in energy but tight enough to sing backup and provide the instrumentation for a more varied chunk of his catalog. They have him diggin pretty deep into the catalog. Words (between the lines of age) was insane. Walk On....YES.

Revolution Blues encore, anyone? Holy balls.

They do play some of the Monsanto stuff (obviously) which, if you can get past the lyrics, rocks just as hard as the Ragged Glory era material.

Bonus was Willie and Trigger joining in for a couple of tunes between the "acoustic" section and the balls out electric fury, which was provided in spades when he switched from Hank's Martin to the White Falcon, then finally Old Black.

Dude hasn't lost a step and is playing with FURY right now. He's obviously having a blast and I hope he lives forever.

    DO EEEEET!

I saw him in 2008 in Seattle, it was so loud I finally had to leave during the encore, gave me a headache. :D Awesome show, though, all that power and sound!

Wow, that's a great set list! I would LOVE to see him do Words sometime. Wish I had the cash to go see this.

i saw him in 2010..he did Words..also did Barstool Blues, bunch of stuff form Tonight's the Night... it was EPIC.

incredible tone.. maybe the best live tone i've ever heard. He would hit certain notes, and the feedback..man..the grin on his face.. just AWESOME.

he played a tele and a les paul jr for alot of the set incidentally.

I love tonight's the night so much and would have killed to see that. I think he used a tele for that entire record and the associated tour.

I agree that his live tone is amazing and possibly my favorite, at least that I've experienced in person. The entire sound of the band was really good. It was loud as hell, but really clear and open so you could still hear everything without it turning into soup.

Saw him with Promise of the Real last summer, was an amazing show and he really doesn't seem to have lost a step even in his age. The Monsanto stuff can wear a little, but is still enjoyable live. Really hoping there's some more dates closer to me so I can catch another.
