It's been a while since we had a "Devo is awesome" thread.

From Neil's book, "Waging Heavy Peace":

"Devo's influence and where they came from is something I've never seen adequately described. They are true originals."

The book is a little ambiguous, but he suggests that Devo contributed "It's better to burn out, because rust never sleeps," drawing on a sign the Devo guys had seen in Akron growing up.

As another aside, Jerry Casale has started producing wine. I bought some of his first bottling, and it was darned good. Thumbs way up.

My second effect was an E-H Frequency Analyzer. It baffled me until I saw Devo and my life was changed for the better.

Yeah - those guys were a cool band I wish they'd put something new out one of these days.

Have you heard "Something for Everybody" from a couple of years ago? I love every song on it.. that tends to never happen with bands I grew up with.

    Long live Mothersbaugh!
