I don't think this has been posted here yet.

Orange has some new amps, and a new site, up. Here's the new site-
    http://www.orange-amps.com/index.asp

The new 40th Anny. models look really nice. I'm really intrested in the OR50, supposed to be inpsired by the old OR80/120's, I'm assuming. Looks like they've started making the Retro 50 again (They did stop making it, right?). New Tiny Terror combo up. I'm mainly intrested in the OR50, supposed to be coming out late April, according to Rob Chapman. I can't wait for price/clips of this thing. Check out the site if your intrested in Oranges, at all.

Any idea what these are gonna' cost?
I'd like to get one of the 4x12's (their 2x12's are great) and maybe either a 40th anni. head or the OR50H...

it looks pretty damn cool, but for the money they're gonna be asking, i'll take the 40 year old one, at least it will appreciate in value.

I'm guessing the anniv. 4x12 will be in the $1100 ballpark. Not cheap for a cab, but built like a truck.

That's really not that bad, seeing as their standard one is what, like $1000?

My bet is the CS 40th anni. head (limited to 40 pieces) will be priced around what, $4k? the OR50h what, $3500?

why do I keep saying what? :messedup

Are these PTP wired amps, or circuit board designs?

The custom shop and anniversary are all PTP IIRC.

Ok, looks cool, but what the F**k is up with the slide show with *Madonna* playing a Les Paul? *Madonna*. One more time in case I wasn't clear...MADONNA????!!!

I may have to become a Madonna fan now!

not sure, but you know its gonna be north of $2k, which is what the vintage heads seem to top out at. granted, they are PCB, probably had some stuff replaced over the years, etc, but from a monetary standpoint, you'll most likely sell them for what you paid for them, if not more, unlike a new amp.

that being said, most people don't buy gear as an "investment", but I would hate to buy something new, get bored of it 6 months later, and sell for 50 cents on the dollar.

Does anyone know if the OR50H (not the Cutom shop model) is out yet?

If so, where can it be purchased from?

    thx.

I'm still waiting for news on the OR50H. You might email a couple of Orange dealers to find out.

What will the difference be from the OR50H and the 40th anniversary....

All the custom shops are PTP and the 40th anniversary of which 40 will be made and all will have girls names like Trainwreck.

(ha ha it's kind of funny that they aren't still tied to Gibson this is so gibson... it should come with some sort of Custom Gibson and sell for 10 times as much)

I love my Orange...hopefully one day I can get a retro 50 or an OR50H. (and a silent studio to play it in without the neighbors complaining)

Atlanta Discount Music will probably have an OR50 as soon as they are avaliable and likely a 40th anniversary. I'll ask next time I go in.

I doubt the OR50H is much more than 2500 if that. I think the retro 50 is around 2500.

The Or50H is available in the UK. I've not played one, but others are saying it is a VERY nice amp. No bells and whistles, like a 2nd channel or an FX loop, but a great single channel amp. Street prices here are the same as for a Rockerverb 50 head.
