I'll give a report as soon as I get it.

It was just what I was looking for.

    15 watts
    2 footswitchable channels
    EL 84s

I plan on usng the Lil'15 for my clean and crunch rhythm tones and my Budda SD 18 II for my lead tone.

I got it.... it looks and sounds better then expected.

It really does sound to me like a baby Black Cat. I thought I would miss the tube rec but there is plenty of sag for me.

This little amp is loud and has a lot of oomph.

    Sold them both.

I now will be using the Bad Cat for clean and crunch and my Budda SD 18 for my lead tone.

The Lil'15 reminds me alot of the Black Cat I sold you. Except it is only 14"x7"x7" and weighs less then 20lbs. It is definitly not as vesitile as the Black Cat but it does all the things I loved about the Black Cat minus the weight which was a huge problem.

hey jimmydeez, congrats on the new amp! curious about how it sounds - is there enough headroom? Are the cleans nice? Voxy chime? not too thin with the 2 el84s? sorry for all the questions - i'm really interested in this amp! thanks.

There is plenty of headroom for me and my band but I have come to realize that I don't play nearly as loud as some of the guys on this forum.

The cleans are very nice and voxy in nature. They definitly have that chime quality to them. Also at louder volumes they have that swirl that I have only heard from Matchless/bad Cat amps. I love the clean tone.

This amp is definitly not thin. In fact it is thicker then the Orange AD30HTC(4 EL84s) that I sold to buy this guy.

Glad you like the 'Lil 15! I'm loving mine!
Plenty of volume for the majority of my gigging needs. I love the design.

+100 I have done the Mesa thing with 100 knobs and switches. I love that this 2 channel amp with so few knobs. I have a NOS EF86 on the way that I'm hoping will really make the dirty channel sound nice.

You've got several amps there depending on your choice of speaker configurations. 10's 12's and even a 15" will all give it a different voice,
then change guitars and more so.

jimmy / stratclaw - thanks for the info - i'm seriously thinking about buying this amp! problem is there are a lot of options in the $1500 price range ... even the AC30 hand wired head is less than the lil' 15. Dr. Z Maz Jr, Fargen Blackbird (I like the Fender sound too), used Matchless Lightening, etc. Looking for a nice/swirly clean. Too many choices!!

For me it was a no brainer. I was looking for the following amp.

    2 footswitchable channels
    15 watts
    Voxy clean
A crunch that sounds like my old Black Cat

This amp is as close as I can get. The other amps you mentioned don't have the flexibility of 2 footswitchable channels. This option was a must for me.

I have spent a few days playing this amp.... I still love it. I got to turn it up on sunday when I knew my neighbor was out..... Holy crap. It is very much like the Black Cat I used to have. This amp sounds great. I should have band practice on Wed and that will be the final test for this amp.
