This past week I picked up a slightly used Trinity 5E3 Deluxe clone that was built about 6 months ago and it's sublime. Trinity is a kit supplier/builder here in Toronto. The previous owner had it built with some cap upgrades, MM Transformers and had a whole slew of NOS Tubes in there, and a P12Q. This is the first time I've truly played through a 5E3, and it's such a complex tone. Amazing sounds coming out of this little box.

Here's a short clip i made of it. Everything half way up (6 volumes & tone) with my Strat. I hear a little clipping, i think i had the mic up a little close but you get the idea:)

    Beautiful amp! Nice score!

Very nice clip ... shows the different character and articulation of the amp. Nice playing too!

    Great!

    I love the tone of a 5E3.

I hope you don't mind. Here's one with a little different look to it.

A good Strat/5E3 is hard to beat. Listening to them, regardless of how they're set up, always makes me smile. I believe they are TRUE organic guitar tone at it's best. Thanks for the smile today!

Sweet! Thanks for sharing that. Really nice tone. It's cool of you to include settings, for those of us not accustomed to hearing 5E3s.

    Thanks, guys!

    I wish I could say I built this but I didn't.

A friend knew I wanted a Deluxe and suggested using my name on it. I had a good laugh, then figured "why not?"

I decided I wanted a head/cab, chose the tolex & grill cloth colors and dealt with having the faceplates made.

The amp exceeds all my expectations.
