I caught the banjo bug recently (FEEL FREE TO POST YOURS)

New 2018 Deering Deluxe in Walnut. One of the last Deluxe models built late in 2018 just before Deering retired this model.

Used 2002 Deering Maple Blossom (flame maple, bound fretboard). Found this one at GC up in Tacoma, WA for about 1/4th of what they cost new. Then sent it to the Deering factory for their platinum refurbishing and refret.

    Nice, enjoy. :aok

I got an excellent 1985 Deering Deluxe from Elderly a few years ago. Unfortunately, I haven't put the time into it that I should, but it's a great instrument.

I'd imagine you might not get a lot of banjo support around these parts. But have fun nonetheless.

Beautiful! I wanted a good banjo for a long time. I’ve played a bit on and off over the years but other priorities got in the way of a decent banjo. Enjoy!

Do they both have the same ring?

No the 2018 has the 06 tone ring and the 2002 as the pre 06 tone ring.
