Wow, that sounds like it's got some great responsiveness to it! Outstanding tone.

I'm loving a lot of the clips I'm hearing lately (in general... not just AxeFX). There's some really great stuff out there these days... and I want them all. ;)

    Steve, is that you? ;)

Seriously, that tone is very Vai-esque like the actual amp.

Chewy! Nice pick/note attack sound in the fast parts. Sounds good :)

Sounds good. I'm still not hearing anything that can't be done with the Kemper though.:)

He's responding to Willowdale's post in the Kemper thread, but I agree...enough of this versus banter crap.

Sounds awesome, greasy. My stuff with KPA is a little dry for lack of a better word. Great playing as well.

I owned a Carvin Legacy head mk1 with a legacy 4x12 for years and i know that amps tone inside out for both live and recording purposes. Its a fantastic amp and i really regret selling mine.
While i can possibly hear a vague similarity here in the bottom end This example sounds nothing like the legacy i had especially in the pick attack and lack of clarity on the bottom.
The Legacy is known for being maybe a little too fat for chords and can sometimes sound a bit muffled but on single notes like this, This is where the amp shined with silky smooth clarity and rich bottom end. This sounds a little muffled on the lows and thin on top at the same time compared to my experience with one. Id love to hear it with a different cab though as that could be contributing a lot to what i hear

I agree. I would have never guessed that clip is replicating a Legacy. It sounds really thin on the high end compared to the real thing. It could be the cab IR choice but I don't think it is just that.

I think it's the cab or the EQ. When I load the model, it sounds very muffled and too thick for me but I did manage to tweak it out. End up EQ wise sounded like my other patches. I think no matter which model I use my tone almost end up the same.. Haha

Dunno if the model sounds like a real Legacy but I don't care. I've been playing the heck out of it since 5.04 came out.

Hi there.. the clip is mine.

The amp block is all flat but I reduced the master and increased the drive a bit.

The cab is 4x12 GERMAN v30 (RW) and I used a stock delay block

oh I increased the motor drive to 4.(something)

Guitar is an Ibanez 1570 with a dimarzio fred on bridge.

From what I remember it has the sound I was used from the legacy I owned and played with this guitar a couple of years.

    Glad you guys liked it.

The fast part is mostly "legato"
