Very nice Marin.... Amp seems a bit sizzley. I think if you perform the couple mods that have been discussed in some other threads that it will smooth out the top and fatten things. Other than that, this is a great starting point.

Very Cool! I loved all three gain settings but last high gain was really my favorite. Waitng for my D style amp, should be here in a week or two.
Thanks Marin! Your playing rocks Bro!

thanks Scott. I confess that am not yet used to this setup...new speaker, new amp, no reverb...

My impression is that amp has plenty of this "fat" (actually maybe too much for me..)... there is this "deep" button really get that, but overall the amp and cabinet are "bass friendly". I think that I like slightly "thinner" adn "icepickier" sounds than most people (hence my love for the tele :) )...

Smoothing out the top end? Interesting...how? I can figure out whether its the much acclaimed G12-65 which is causing this or the amp? I am playing at an awfully low volume, so I can't push it that much.

Other than that, this is a great starting point.
ehm, thanks...but "starting point" for what? :)

Thanks Ed! The high gain thing is probably its strength, sort of marshall-meets-howard-meets-mesa. This thing would kill on stage!

Which D amp are you getting? :)

Hey Marin,
I like the tone right where it is no further tweeking/modding required. I have D'Lite 44 coming soon. After hearing Tubs clip I was hooked. Thanks again and as useual your playing inspires!

Hey Marin, it's great that you finally got a Dumble style amp. Sounds good! I especially like the video of you with the Tokai 335. Like Scott said, once you dial in your tone, I think you're going to really love this kind of amp.

Sounds really good. The higher gain setting was my favorite. So that's Ceriatone's take on a Dumble? I would love to hear a clip of those three tones with you playing some chords, riffs, rythym type things.
Was that entire clip done using single coils?
Thanks for posting.

Much better!

Do one with a HB guitar please.

How's the master volume on the amp? That sounded pretty darn good if you were only on 1 on the master. I suppose it smooths out more as you turn up, yes?

thanks. You were right. :) I heard the other clip on my good speakers later on and I then checked the pre-amp on the sound card. It was a bit on red side...

Actually, it was a "1" and with 40% attenuation from the Koch. The cabinet is damn LOUD, it resonates like crazy.

I haven't tried yet....

Thanks Greg.

I hope so.....maybe I should get one of those isolation speakers so I can hear the juice.

Chords? I have to learn those....(only kidding :D ).

The chords are really nice. That grainy, marshally kind of thing. I'll record a simple clip.

The first clip - yes. Its an Anderson Classic with single coil vintage pickups.

thanks

way to go Marin! that amp and you're playing style are a great match :AOK

Thanks John,

maybe I should dig in the strings a bit less than I normally do.

I picking technique was developed with the most un-dynamic POS amps and PA systems mankind can think of. :D

Nice tone and playing as usual. I think the smoother sexier tone has a nice fit for your playing. I think once you find the sweet spots you're going to be kicking some major butt. Great job. :D

Hey Scott, which threads describe how to smooth the top end? Do you remember what was the topic?

thanks
