    Hi,

I just got a new epiphone elitist casino, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!
    I'm playing Beatles non-stop.
    Anyways, I've got two questions.
    1. Fret-buzz. The B and G strings buzz some, however, I can't hear it through the amp just when the guitar is unplugged. The neck is fairly straight and the action is low. Should I raise the bridge a little? Could that improve the buzz situation or the tone in general?

    2. Pickups. They sound pretty good. Although they are bright for p90s. The neck is much louder than the bridge I've been adjusting the volume to compensate. Is this common? Should I consider a rewind?
Also, I've been using the middle setting with both pickups a lot, do a lot of people use this setting the most?

    Thanks

    Hey,

I got a Elitist Casino about six months back and I'm totally diggin it too.

    1. Yes, raise the action, why not? Maybe tweak the truss rod and give the neck a little more relief. I had to flip one of my saddles to get the low E to intonate.

    2. I made spacers for the P-90s to sit on because they're too far away from the strings. This was my only complaint about this guitar. I used .090 pickguard material and raised the bridge pickup about 1/8" and the neck about 1/16". It helped alot.

You can get pre-made P-90 spacers from Allparts.

Did you get Natural or Sunburst?

Mine is the sunburst, but I really like the natural too.
I'm in Canada and a local store was having a no tax sale and they just had the sunburst. I couldn't resist.

How did changing the pickup height affect the sound?
Did it just make the pickups louder?

I'm diggin' my Elite Casino too! My neck pickup was fine but I did raise the bridge pickup which helped. All else is stock.......at the moment.

OK - My Bridge pup : from the face of the cover to the strings is - 3/32" Treble side - 5/32" Bass side.

The Neck pup is : 5/32" Treble - 7/32" Bass.

My pole pieces are all 1/16" above the face of the cover. Hope that helps...

I played a 'normal' made in China Casino today and it was very nice, but rolling off the volume killed the treble right away. Does the Elitist do a better job here? Are the pots CTS 500K? or 300K? Thanks.
