Very interesting!
They get almost no love here, but the DG20 system is darned near fool proof and I've loved mine for years.
I'm really curious what they'll do with the PAF vibe.

Had no idea ... very cool!
I simply love their HA pickup, which is a single coil in humbucker housing ...

Sounds neat, and glad to hear they are actives. I have yet to encounter any of their passives that I really cared for, but I am a fan of most of their actives I have tried. The 81/85 types fill a hard rock / metal niche, I feel their single coils are an excellent noiseless option, and I am very curious to hear how these PAF style humbuckers sound.

I only have one guitar that currently has EMG's but I think they are generally great pickups. The only problem is that they don't get along with a few styles of fuzz pedal. Most people's criticism of them(harsh/too bright/etc) smacks of never having tried them.

I have never tried the passive guitar pickups, but I have one of the passive p-bass pickups in an old Cort headless and it works well in that application.

I love my DG20 electronics as well, but they have yet to pay any compliments to the Strat that hosts them.
