The Classic Vibe Squires are worth the money. I got mine today. Other than the neck being a little thimmer than I like, it is a pretty nice guitar...it made a nice looking Esquire. I will eventually put an Allparts fat neck on it and a broadcaster pup in it.

    looks great!

Whats the routing like on these? I was thinking of getting one and dropping a Humbucker in the neck.

Thanks. Your in for a treat then, it's routed for a humbucker, maybe even a p-90.

How would you rate the finish work? Frets, neck pocket, hardware, etc? Just curious :) Oh, and how does it sound?

If you like thinner necks...this is your tele!

It's as good as the older MIJ teles. No visable flaws, no buzzes. The neck pocket looks nice and tight. The hardware looks great. The tuners look like Klusons and hold tune and do not rattle. The vintage style bridge plate is nice and has slotted brass saddles.

The guitar looks and feels great. Definitely worth the money.

The sound, is like a pine tele...a little more mid-rangy than regular teles. The neck pickup is a little muffled compared to my Nocaster.

I am going to replace the neck with an Allparts fat one, and probably a broadcaster pup.

thanks! I love this color combo...Mines a partscaster made with cij body/neck, us52 hardware, glendale saddles and a Fralin Stock Tele pickup...it sounds balls!

that stock pickup sounds pretty good.

Where did you get the Esquire pickguard to replace the black one that comes with the squire vibe series?

If the neck is narrower, will an aftermarket neck fit? the neck is the only thing holding me back from buying one.

Considering your replaceing the neck, pickup ,electronics. Would'nt it make more sence just to get a great body first and do a partscaster. The body is basswood or pine i think. For the money you could get a nice swampash body finish it yourself and end up with a better guitar.
