Axe-FX II Final ARES Release Notes:

    Ares 1.01

Ported most of the “Ares” modeling from the Axe-Fx III. NOTE: To make space for the required additional code, support for presets created prior to Quantum 7.00 has been removed. While these presets will load certain parameters may not initialize correctly. Be sure to audition any presets created before Quantum7.00. It is also recommended to do a “soft reset” of the Amp block on these presets by deselecting and then reselecting the model.

    Hotone Ampero Firmware 3.0

    https://hotoneaudio.com/news/327.html

PrecautionThis Ampero V3.0 firmware update is Ampero’s major update containing more powerful features (e.g. MANAGABLE SIGNAL CHAIN), optimized system performance and bug fixes. We recommend all Ampero users to execute this update for the best possible user experience.

IMPORTANT - Use V3.0 firmware with Ampero Editor V1.2.0 ONLY. The patches of the earlier firmware versions are now not compatible with this V3.0 firmware due to the new features and fatal changes, which means, after updating firmware, ALL YOUR PATCHES IN YOUR AMPERO WILL BE REPLACED BY THE NEW FACTORY/USER PATCHES, AND YOUR CUSTOM IR FILES WILL ALSO BE CLEARED.
Please be sure to export the patches you want to keep by using earlier Ampero Editor software before updating. After updating, you can import them via new Ampero Editor (The Editor will automatically convert your old patch files to new version so that you can use them with V3.0 firmware).
If you accidentally updated to the new firmware before backing up your patches, to get the old patches back, you can roll back to earlier firmware versions (load earlier firmware files when updating) before you edit/save patches with new firmware.
    New Features
    1. You can now manage your signal chain in Edit menu by double clicking on a module
    2. You can connect external footswitch controller to EXP 2 (EXP 2/FS) jack – EXP 2/FS settings added in Global menu for setting footswitch functions and EXP 2/FS jack functions
    3. Wait mode added when switching between banks (for external footswitch only)
    4. You can now control USB recording level (Global > USB Audio)
    5. You can now set No Cab Mode separately on either L/R channel (Global > I/O)
    Improvements & Changes
1.Screen Lock function changed to Device Lock function for locking touch screen, MENU/VALUE knob (Main Knob) and Quick Access Knobs
    2.Greatly optimized Tuner reaction speed
3.Improved dynamic range and sound quality of these amp modeling effects: Tweed Lux, Baseman Norm, Baseman Bright, Black Twin, Voxy 30HW Norm, Voxy 30HW TB, Superstar Clean, Superstar Drive, Glacian Clean, Glacian Drive
4.Improved the sound quality of several effects in FX1 and FX2
5.BRIGHT switch added for Black Twin and Glacian Clean
6.The Presence control of Superstar Drive changed to Drive control for more wider tonal range
    7.Optimized built-in expression pedal stability
8.Optimized USB Audio performance and stability
    9.General performance and stability improvements

    Bug Fixes

    1. When editing presets, some effect parameters may go wrong – FIXED
    2. Recorded data may be lost when using Looper – FIXED
    3. In some cases, Ampero may crash when setting external expression pedal (EXP 2) – FIXED
    4. Factory Reset cannot be selected by MENU/VALUE knob (Main Knob) in Global menu – FIXED
    5. Minor bug fixes

    2.Ampero Editor

    Version 1.2.0
    Released 5/31/2019

    Precaution

IMPORTANT - Use V3.0 firmware with Ampero Editor V1.2.0 ONLY. The new software will no longer recognize Ampero units with previous firmware (V2.1 and earlier).

+ You can now manage your signal chain by clicking “Manage Signal Chain” button
+ You can now import user IR file with any bit depth/sample rate
+ You can now set No Cab Mode in Settings > Global
+ You can now check solution methods by clicking “Device Not Found” button when Ampero Editor cannot recognize your device

Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 5.09 Public Beta
Firmware 5.09 introduces the PERFORM tab found on the HOME screen of the Axe-Fx III. The PERFORM tab can be configured with up to 10 user-selected controls from any of the blocks found in the current preset (including CONTROLLERS and GLOBAL). Configuration of the PERFORM tab is done via Axe-Edit III. Allowable controls include rotary knobs, push-buttons, drop-downs, and toggle controls (e.g., on/off controls).

PERFORM controls are added via the editor from the block’s parameter view. The hotkeycombination SHIFT + F1 through F10 are used to place the selected parameter control in the desired location.

PERFORM controls are removed via the editor through the use of the hotkey combination SHIFT+COMMAND (MAC) or SHIFT+CTRL (Windows) and pressing one of the F1 through F10 keys.

Adding or removing a PERFORM control will change the EDIT state of the preset. These settings are stored per-preset.

Added USB Output Mapping to Setup > I/O > Audio. This allows routing USB channels 1,2 to Output 1 or Output 2 and channels 3,4 to Output 2 or Output 1.

Changed Cabinet, IR Player and Tone Match block IR windowing so that window length is proportional to IR length (rather than a constant window length).

Fixed Ring Mod block left/right slightly unbalanced.
FC: Further fix for startup timing issues.
FC: Fix Inc/Dec functions' upper limits defaulting to zero.
Fix learning of FC external pedals and switches in MIDI/Remote.
FC: Fix external switch polarity not showing correctly on the FC Controllers Remote page.

Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 6.00 Public Beta

    https://forum.fractalaudio.com/thre...AVfGoeoNrNh76NH3Z4P-ysOWDGi6G6tYutFcLfT8OwlQE

    Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Notes
    6.00
Firmware 6.00 introduces the PERFORM tabs found on the HOME screen of the Axe-Fx III. There are two PERFORM tabs: Per-Preset and Global.

The PERFORM tabs can be configured with up to 10 user- selected controls from any of the blocks found in the current preset (including CONTROLLERS and GLOBAL). Configuration of the PERFORM tabs is done via Axe-Edit III. Allowable controls include rotary knobs, push-buttons, drop-downs, and toggle controls (e.g., on/off controls).

The "Perform-PP" controls are stored per-preset. Adding or removing a control from "Perform- PP" will change the EDIT state of the preset.

The "Perform-Gbl" controls are stored in the Global Settings. Adding or removing a control from "Perform-Gbl" is automatically saved to the Global Settings.

Performance controls are added via the editor from a block's parameter view. The editor's selected parameter control is assigned to the desired Performance tab through a popup menu or a hot-key combination. [Please note the "Edit Modifier..." popup menu item for modifiable parameters.

Modifiable parameters can quickly jump to the "Edit Modifier" dialog by pressing the hotkey 'M'.]

    Hotkey assignments for Perform controls:
The editor's Perform view is accessed via the "Perform" button or the Tools / Performance menu. From this view, Per-Preset Performance controls can be imported and/or exported using the "Block Library" control. Additionally, the view's "Per-Preset" and "Global" tabs allow label editing for controls already assigned to the "Perfrom-PP" and "Perform-Gbl" tabs.

Changed Cabinet, IR Player and Tone Match block IR windowing so that window length is proportional to IR length (rather than a constant window length).

Doubled length of IR Capture Utility sweep. This improves SNR in challenging environments, i.e. a large, noisy room when capturing “far-field” IRs. The time between sweeps has also been increased to allow the room reverberation to decay sufficiently before starting the next sweep.

Improved Amp block power amp modeling.

Fixed Ring Mod block left/right slightly unbalanced.

FC: Further fix for startup timing issues.

FC: Fix Inc/Dec functions' upper limits defaulting to zero.

Fix learning of FC external pedals and switches in MIDI/Remote.

FC: Fix external switch polarity not showing correctly on the FC Controllers Remote page.
