I have been making some demo clips for Andy with the new Fuchs pedals and having a lot of fun. I did a series of clips here:
    http://www.thegearpage.net/board/sho...65#post3380765

Amongst those clips Andy does a great solo over this cool Miles Davis type funk track and I asked if he would mind if I took a shot at it.

Soooo..ok first disclaimer, shameless wanking, but I was having fun....lol

Left gtr is same as solo gtr just stepped on the pedal.

Rosewood alder strat, area 61 pickups, fender deluxe, royer 122v, VIPRE pre, protools 44.24

I think its a sweet pedal and I hope you guys enjoy the clip.

Damn, I wish I could "shamelessly wank" like that!!!!

Sounds awesome. Can you comment how it compares to actual Fuchs OD.

I am going to assume you are referring to the pedal vs. an actual amp?

Well, the pedal is several thousand dollars less expensive then the amp! lol
It is a sweet sounding overdrive that works really great in front of a aclean amp like a twin or deluxe, or a Fuchs. It saturates well, has a wide range of gain and eq and feels good to play through. So does a Fuchs amp.

Its not a second stage tube distortion, although as I understand it one of the pedals is tube driven...if I can tell you anything else I will try! lol

This yet another clip that makes it hard for me to focus on the tone because I'm so knocked out by the playing- blues roots, great touch, great rhythmic sense, diminished and quartal stuff, holy crap! That's all there is to it, I'm going to check out your website for CD's right away.
Looks my my 2008 G.a.s. will involve this line of pedals and the Axefx.

Not a style that I like really, but great playing and great tone. Can't wait to get my hands on that pedal. How does it feel, similar to an actual ODS, or does it feel like playing through a pedal. It sounds really smooth, yet articulate. Whats your take on it. Easy to dial? usable controls? Thanks for the info.

To be honest I don't play this style myself either, although I greatly admire those who can and do. You see I play almost entirely by ear, I know the theory and such, but once I start I really am trying to improvise. For this track I was listening to Michael Brecker before I played. Andy Fuchs and I have a joke about "putting a hat on" like an SRV or RF hat...a joke, for this I opened a box that once hada a hat that looked really similar to a hat Michael Brecker once thought about trying on...lol

The pedal is great and easy and very flexible. I don't think it is intended to emulate an ODs as much as to be a nice gain stage for even harmonics distortion. Again I am not too good at thinking about these things as I tend to just go for it. Hope that helps.:AOK

John, really enjoyed the sound samples – great tone and lovely playing as usual.
I never heard Andy’s playing before – sweet! And pedal sounded great too.
