Wow, that's cool. Did anyone else know about this?
Well I tried avoiding this. I really did. But as usual, I’ve succomed to GAS. Ordered a 335 ‘63 VOS in Burst today. It’s one of my dream guitars so might I as well get it while it’s 50% off right?
Thanks for posting the updated list @ChicagoMusicExchangeMatt
hahahaha, people are going to think you are serious about that discount xD
I think he means from list, which isn't exactly right, but not too far off.
Thanks, guys (sincerely). Having wanted an ES-335 for years, I could never justify the cost of even a used one. I just got off the phone with David at CME and ordered a figured Faded Lightburst for $1795 - absolutely crazy price I couldn't resist.
Yea, same for me. I ordered an es330 with a bigsby in natural. Just coupn't turn it down at that price. I hope the neck is going to be substantial enough for me.
Although I picked up the lowly “Studio” model. My new CME bought 335 is really sweet!

I like the clean look of the studio! Congrats...
I sent an email to them early on Friday inquiring about the different neck carves, but they never got back to me. It's fine though, I'm getting a Martin 000-42 in the near future and I should really focus on paying for that.
Yea. 850 to 950 is slim to me.
Haha whoops. Yeah, I definitely meant from the list price. Which is about 50% from the new one listed on your website.
This...for <$2500 delivered? Thank you CME. What (TF) else is there to say?

How is CME as far as trades go? Have a couple of axes I’d love to turn into a 335. A few really calling my name. Which neck would be comparable to an 07 LP Custom?
Planning an excursion up there whenever my schedule works out.
I wanted to do the same thing and they strongly discouraged it. Since they sell a ton of different brands they told me I'd be better off selling on Reverb. Others may have had different experiences.
Trading in guitars is more often than not a bad idea. Shops will typically give you half of what they’ll sell it for.
I had my eye on this model too and just pulled the trigger. Love weird **** like Varitone, which I have always wanted to try. They gave me a slightly better deal than the already low discount price, so I went for it. I figure you have 30 days to try it out and all it costs is shipping back so it was worth the chance.
you might want to check on the trial window. I don't think it is nearly as long as 30 days, although in my experience CME goes to lengths to take care of its customers
I asked before I bought. Floor modes are the same return policy as thier other sales, 30 days. If you return it just because you don’t like it you are responsible for any return shipping costs. Any guitar issues of course they will take it back and pay shipping. But they setup before a guitar leaves so they can avoid that I think. They asked me what guage strings I wanted, so I am pretty confident in the guy I talked to there following through.
My past experience with them has been with smaller purchases, but I concur that they have great service.
Faded light burst (plain) in the house!
I went with the Figured variety... but that plain top was really calling me too... shame I didn't need both. That's a beauty.
