The girl from Stranger Things does the exact same acting in this movie -- same facial expressions, same staring at the sky, same covering her ears and screaming.

The Verizon dude is in it

Might be ok. I agree the story line is really dumb.

I actually look forward to seeing what they do with all of the monsters in CGI, but what is up with the re-imagining of Godzilla's look...again? Can't they find someone who can get it right?

I lost interest before the end of the trailer. Probably not the movie for me.

    I never liked Mothra.
Two guys with Zippo lighters could take it out.

I prefer the Japanese Actors with bad English overdubs but I guess any Godzilla movie is better than no Godzilla movie.

One can say the same thing about every great actor- they all do the same sh*t every time.

Mothra is easy to take out, but she just comes right back, eternal life.

Mothra cannot be taken out. She, and sometimes he, is an eternal manifestation of Gaia.

So 11 gets to fight another demogorgon, scream at it, and John Rayburn gets away with another crime. I dig it.
There's also a joke available for Tywin Lannister.

I really disliked the new Godzilla movie when it came out because I was expecting the new Godzilla to be in the vein of the original first movie--a harbinger of apocalyptic doom as opposed to a super hero. But after re-watching a couple of the 60s Godzilla vs. _____ movies I realized the new movie was really a reboot in the spirit of those non-sensical Toho productions and is pretty faithful to the Toho monster battle movie style. The same with "Kong: Skull Island"--he is more of a Toho King Kong vs. an RKO King Kong. On that level, I think they come out ok (and should be with the acting talent and budget thrown into them). So after this, will they go the "Monster Zero" route with aliens (or other countries) seeking to control the monsters? Will we get the sea monster? The smog monster?
