That pickguard is pretty cool looking!
I found it on reverb.com. I would think some folks would ship internationally, though admittedly, not all I'm sure.
Personally, I don't mind the original pickguard. In fact, it has some 60s/70s charme.
What really puts me off ever since I saw the first JTV strats are both the knobs related to the Variax functions, especially the one between the plain vol/tone control. That dark underlay is destroying what originally is a nice balanced layout of knobs.
Most don't seem to like that idea. Shipping very often isn't exactly cheap either and I'd have to play some tricks regarding import duties and german taxes, which I'm not exactly excited about.
Where did you find this photo? I'd love to get a pickguard like that for my JTV69.
I pm'd you the info.
You wouldn't happen to have a template shape for this modification?
Guitar in the OP is gorgeous looking!
That neck looks amazing! I own both a JTV-59 and a JTV-69 and have started to use the 69 more lately mostly because it is lighter than the 59.
That looks awesome, Mike!
(Been a while, uh? )
Indeed Dan! How the heck are you!? I wish you could play one of the guitars I'm building now! The ones you played back in the day were only one of the first handful and looking back, not nearly as cool as what I'm doing now (IMO of course).
I don't sorry, I pretty much just winged it on my oscillating spinning sander.
I need to check your web site! Or take another trip to SD
Hi. where can i buy that strat style pickguard please? thank you
