I never get to do these posts, but when I do, I make em count!

I've been quite outspoken on this page about my disdain for Gibson's business practices as well as their current marketing strategies, and while I still don't agree with either in the slightest, I've fallen pretty hard for this guitar.

I would prefer to not turn this post into another slag Gibson debate thread, so please keep it to yourself.

I will also save you the trouble and call myself a turn-coat lol.

    Now with out further adieu:

    Guitar of the week 28!

I'll have some real pics of it up in the next day or two.

So far I'm elated with it. The finish is far better then I've seen on many current production Gibsons, the binding work looks great, the nut may need a bit of filing, but I'm going to set up the bridge to my tastes first and go from there.

Sounds resonant, chimey, aggressive. It's my perfect Les Paul! My main guitar is a MF les paul jr, and this thing cops that sound, but with a bit more articulation and aggression. I love it!

Very nice - I just got an R9, but I do love P-90's. The black custom look is very classy.

Congrats! LPs w/P-90s are my absolute favorites (pick of my #1 below - 81 LP Pro). I've got a couple myself. That's a smokin guitar you picked up! Guarentee it will sound fantastic through your Lynx! I really dig the way P-90 LPs sound with my Hot Cat 30R head and Matchless amps.

Wow. How could you NOT be a turn-coat for that? I'm with you on the Gibson/Fender thing. I'll buy them used in a heart beat though. And, for the record, I'd probably buy THAT one new if money smiled upon me. Fantastic looking guitar, congrats!!!!
