...but that's OK. I don't need a 6.33333lb Les Paul to be cool.

I owned one of these awhile back, and it was great, especially for a backup guitar. Should have never let it go. I'm not a metal guy at all....but the guitar really did sound pretty damn good stock...and was really fun to play. I might do some coil-tap and other fun upgrades. I'll have to post some more pics when it arrives this week.

I love RGs. I have a couple of them.

That looks like a really cool one! Is it a Prestige (made in Japan)?

My Les Paul sat in its case this weekend, while I played my Reissue RG550.

These guitars are just a ton of fun to play.

    Enjoy it.

Very nice I love Ibanez guitars... they don't seem to get much love here though!

If you use them in their place, they are good. I mean, don't expect to get good Strat or Les Paul tones out of them, but they have their place. I own an RG550LB from 1990, and it's a great player.

looks better than an lp to me, and they are about the same quality.

Id change the pickups, but otherwise its a great guitar if set up properly

I love the tone. Something about the Basswood body, and that middle pup really make me smile. Nah....if I wanted a LP, I'd get one.

As far as replacement pups, I MIGHT go with a Duncan Jazz in the neck and a JB in the bridge. Not sure yet. I'm going to play the guitar for a bit before I go pickup crazy. Like I said, I might do some coil-tapping.......but will most likely install a push pull so that I can use both the brige and neck and the same time....or all 3 pups if I so desire.

A fun guitar nonetheless. Glad to see there's some fans here!

If you like it that's all that really matters.

    Congrats and enjoy!

No laughs here, I have both Gibsons and an Ibanez and like them both. They are different animals all together. I have an old Ibanez destroyer that I just love.

I had an RG550 that I bought on a whim and sold a few months later, and regretted it. I now have an RG3270. Ibanez make a fantastic guitar.

    Awesome!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my collection of US made classic-inspired guitars. A strat, tele, couple of les pauls, LP Jr, ES 135, etc...

But I have MAJOR gas for a Paul Gilbert model Ibanez shred machine. It just looks downright FUN to play.

Ah, RDM, my Ibanez brother-in-arms. I love everything they put out. I want an "RG" but then I see the Iceman reissue and I drool.

Why would I laugh? I have a Jackson that I really like to play from time to time, and theres just nothing like the old Floyd Rose and high output humbuckers! I've coil tapped it and have a nice booster preamp in it too!
Hope you enjoy your new guitar!
    Best Regards!
