Hello. I live in Binghamton, NY and have been playing guitar for 18 years. I play in a band called The Second Class Citizens. You've never heard of us and probably never will but if you want to check us out go to myspace.com/thesecondclasscitizens. I spent six years in college as a classical and jazz guitar major (that doesn't mean I'm good) but don't really play those styles anymore. I currently play mostly rock/roots music. I spend more time lusting over gear then I spend practicing. My guitar collection currently includes:
    Modulus Graphite CT3
    Heritage h535
    Heritage Eagle Natural
1993 Gibson Les Paul Studio w/Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Pickups
1963 Gibson Melody Maker (currently in pieces)
1991 Fender American Standard Stratocaster (Duncan 59,Vintage Rail,Cool Rail)
    Taylor 310ce
    Amalio Burguet (classical)
A couple of older Alvarez acoustics

My amps are a Mesa Boogie Maverick 212 and a Roland Bolt60

For pedals my current chain is Planet Waves tuner, Morley Little Aligator, Vox 847 Wah, Digitech Synth Wah, EH Micro Synthesizer, Analogman DS-1, Visual Sound Route 66, DOD Stereo Phaser, DOD Octoplus, Roctron Short Timer Delay all on a SKB PS-45.

My pedals are my real weak point. I hope to be upgrading most of them in the next year. I look forward to hearing your opinions on gear you guys own and use.

I grew up in Endicott! Welcome to the board, the search function yields a massive amount of info. I probably performed over a hundred searches before having to ask a question. This site is very bad for your wallet, though... when people go through $400 pedals like it's nothing, a $200 pedal seems so reasonable a purchase!

It's good to see some people familiar with my neck of the woods. I'll be up in Norwich on Saturday at the Blarney Stone Pub (Music Shop Pub). It looks like you've played there too Cloth. Is it a cool venue? I've heard good things but have never seen a show there.

I have played there. It's changed hands since I was there and I haven't been in there in a year or so but it is very directional and a place to plan on playing quiet in (at least when I was there). It's very dependent on the crowd which is hit or miss in this area. What time do you guys go on Saturday?

We usually go on between 9 and 10 at bar gigs. I don't think the word quiet is in our drummers vocabulary but I am friends with a few bands that have played there (Panhandle, Fetish Lane) and they have both had good experiences. I understand it's a pretty small stage though.

Dude we've probably crossed paths, I'm friends with the Fetish Lane guys as well and have played at Fetish Fest for the past 3 years. The stage was fine with a 3 piece I wouldn't want any more on it though! lol

We're supposed to be playing Fetish Fest this year. They are playing our Second Class Spring Bash in May too. As far as stage size goes it's going to be tough. We're a five piece and we all believe that the first rule to being a professional band is having as much equipment on stage as possible. We might have to scale it back.

With smaller gigs, I got to the point I was gigging with my Roland Cube 60, 1 guitar, mic and used my PA monitor as it's own stand alone for the vocals as it was a mackie powered monitor which you could use as an amp. Pretty cool.

If I can I'll make it down but I have a banquet to go to that evening so it'll depend on when that ends.
