J-Ho!!!!! What up dude! NAMM?? I need a good butt kickin'!! I really enjoyed the hang last year. Sorry for the hijack HJ... I can't listen right now. I will later though. Man, happy to see JH here!!
Harry, that was excellent! Sounded like you put weeks into it. That's how good it was. Nice separation too. The mix was just right. Always enjoy your playing.
Hey thx for the kind words guys, Jayson, I did abuse the ol' trem a little... amazing that this Wilkinson 6 screw comes back in tune perfectly most of the time. By the way, a few of my students are interested in your Dumb Bell pedal... Wonderful tone.
Finally got a chance to check her out HJ. Loved the funk! Great syrupy tone and playing. Makes me want a whammy. Great laid back feel and some choice notes!
This is one of my faves to play live - this track is from a Stern 'how to' book that is actually a spin-off of a Weckl/Pattitucci 'how to' book. I love playing over the m13 groove. In Mike's book, he wrote melodies to the backing tracks that Weckl/Pattitucci had already laid down for their book. Great stuff, HJ. Great tones, and dig the whammy action.
This is the one, Harry, et al: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Play...bs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200014049&sr=1-3
Hi Harry, Been away for a few days on a fairly boring business trip. This track truly restored my spirit. Thanks for sharing! Cheers, Mats N
Killer, man. Love the whammy and smorgeboard of ODs and cleans. beautiful, precise, clean phrasing and execution. Tasteful throughout. Anyone is lucky to have you play on their session!
Hey thx guys I believe it's called "Track04 Hiphop Jazz Funk"? To anyone interested, I used the newest Dimarzio Area model in the neck position. Soon to be released as the Area '67. Full tone, and still very articulate with OD tones. I had the fuzz on a good bit of the time. HJ
Sounds great as usual, Mr. J. Is it my imagination, or do I hear some Andy Most (TGP: mondoslug) influence here? Note selection and feel, mostly.
