    from the other Jester/Jouster thread...

Here is Simon's initial description of the features. Things may change slightly down the road... :

"It's basically a clean tube pre-amp first with volume, treble, middle, bass and clean master controls.
This works great for boosting functions or for a second clean sound.
There is also an overdrive volume control which is activated by a second footswitch.
When in OD mode, all the same controls are active except for the clean master.
Now, it works as a great OD for clean up to medium gain tones.
Because the EQ section comes before the OD stages the feel and response is different that the Jester or Jouster.
It's a very nice smooth OD sound with more compression than the Jester/Jouster.
I really like it for low to medium gain stuff.
Because the EQ is pre-gain stages, this means that at higher gain settings the EQ has less effect.
So for high gain stuff the Jester or Jouster are better choices.
So you can set it up for two sounds, but of course if you change the EQ on one sound, then the other sound will change also.
In practice it works really well though.
The volume control also acts a gain control for the OD".

I just prefer the switching scheme and layout (boost after OD) of the Jester which I am on the list for...I would also like to have the higher gain option of the Jouster but be able to have it clean boosted and be able to use one the other or both...

I'm wondering how the 3 position switch on the clean side will impact the sound. If a clean sound that has a little bit of edge to it is possible, I'm in!

Simon's making it difficult for me to meet my goal of having everything I want on a single Pedaltrain mini.

any Juggler clips floating around yet...would be ideal to hear some clips before choosing a second Jester or a Juggler...

I really am jonesing for some clips too. I LOVE my Jester, and the Juggler seems like a great pedal, but need some clips before dropping the cash :(

Ok, so say I wanted to use the Juggler as a preamp into a poweramp and speaker as a living room amp so to speak. What is a good setup for that?

Is the Tech 21 my only option really or are there better ideas?

Simon just recently posted several clips of the Juggler on his website; right now it is just the OD side of the pedal and he states the clean clips will come soon. They sound great of course:drool

can't wait to hear the clean side but so far after a brief listen...of the three I much prefer the Jester...that's why I changed my order over from a 2nd Jester to a Juggler:drool

    anyone else?
