I got the guitar, took a few hours off of work, came home and plugged in!
Saul is the Grand PooBah of guitars without a doubt! This guitar plays
better than any guitar that I have ever owned or tried! The ergos for me
are great, and the shape of the neck is perfect. The sound is
awesome, great blues and Classic tones. Even tuning it acoustically, it was
alive and toneful. I broke into some old Wishbone Ash and some of my
original riffs and was floored. Great clean up with volume control and a great variety of tones.

I also cranked it up and played some old UFO and Foreigner, sounded AWESOME!
I played it for about an hour and could have kept going for many.

The look is also better that I pictured it being! The colors are really
classy and the body/headstock/ proportions are perfect, just great styling! I
love the binding, very well done and just the right size. My hamer and some
Gibson's that I have seen have way too thick of a binding. The top is great,
not too loud, very understated, just cool. Overall , I can't say enough about Saul as a person and Luthier! He has been great to deal with, communication and patience of a saint! Of
course, I love the quality of what he has done, it is unequaled!
    Here's the pic's:

The more I see of his work, the more I'm convinced that I could be happy with a few guitars from him.

    Hi,

I have to admit to not having been totally in tune with Koll's designs so far but this baby really blew me out of the water. Now all all the design elements have melded into one whole.

It looks odd, fun and funky but totally serious. I'd be proud to be seen with that baby.

    CONGRATULATIONS!

    Trying to control my envy.
    And my GAS. :D

    Cheers,

    Mats N

I really dig the headstock on that guitar, would it be possible to post a close-up? It's very unique and cool. P.S. We did Blind Eye in one of my high school bands. ;)

    MooWahmBah,

    Nice setup!

What shape are the fretboard inlays on the Koll? What do you call it? Also, is that EBONY?

    :D
Soo many guitars so liitle cash. I will soon get my Chapin Carvetop hawk (blue ;) ) and a Hotrod Firebird/telecaster hybrid that Tommy Cougar is building for me, metallic blue with Hot Rod striping. A few days ago i got to spend some time with a JG Bluesmaster WOW and i'm very curious about Versoul. But a Koll, blue, is really tempting.
