They're just waiting for Bruce to recover from his recent cancer treatment. Sounds like he went through the ringer. 3 rounds of chemo and radiation treatments. I just have to wonder if his voice will ever be the same.

And to all the Maiden "fans" on here who stopped listening after the second album or after Powerslave or whatever, no need to chime in with that fact.

The last 4 post-reunion records have been brilliant.

agree. The last two or three albums have been great. I took my son to their most recent concert and it was amazing.

    I hope he recovers soon.

Bruce is one of those musicians that has aged really well.

Not many of those hard rock & heavy metal players from my teenage years can say that.

Maiden have put out some really excellent albums since y2k.

Brave new world, Dance of death and A Matter of Life & Death are 3 of my all time favorite Maiden albums.

there are times I've heard songs over the last few records and thought his voice may sound better now that it did during the 80's.

    Nice. Interested to hear it.

I'd like to try and catch them if they tour. One of those acts that I never have seen but have wanted to forever.

dude, yes. You have to catch them live. Took my son when he was 12 (he's a fan) and had the time of my life. Maiden fans are pretty cool too. Just try to avoid staring at the guitarist who prances around a lot.

Hearing Bruce live, there is no doubt he's a better singer in his 50's than he was in his 20's. I just pray the radiation didn't harm the vocal chords.

Nice. I didn't know they were recording. Another album to look forward to this year ( hopefully).

Hope Bruce makes a full and quick recovery.

Looking forward to the new album.
I wonder if they skipped mastering on this one like they did with the last one?

Ha! I'm just the opposite. Yes, it can get bloated, but I rather liked where they were going with the second half of their last album. They were exploring their progressive side more, which is something I've pined for for a while now.
