I think John is simply amazing talented hard working musician and inspired many upcoming guitar players, singers, songwriter and inspired me to be better player! He definitely raise some bars that this guy just don't get it. That's ok. Everyone has own opinion or A$S.

I agree, i have been listening to his stuff from the beginning too, and I knew he could play. I said that in general terms of people that dont know much about him

When I heard Neon on the Inside Wants Out album, I knew this guy was talented-from 1999

May be able to find it on a torrent site. But John first put out "Inside Wants Out" as an independent release. On it there is a song called "Neon 1247" very cool song.

This.....my previous posts try to exemplify that.

I think a lot of people knew/saw how his career was going to come to the point he is at now if he played his cards right.

Going away for a bit was the best thing he could have done, good move.

I personally don't get the SRV comparisons at all. Not even close to similar.

John self admittedly sat in his room practicing to be the next SRV. When jamming blues, JM safe zone seems to be SRV/Albert King riffs, but he mixes in some BB, EC, Hendrix, etc. He's got the chops... for sure.

It's important to note he was like what 19 at the time too?

Holy crap is that a darn good song right there. How can you not dig that? Killer groove, sweet bass line and catchy as hell with tasty guitar licks all over it.

Hands down my favorite tune so far.

Pretty nice, and agree, tasty stuff, should be a nice life platform for jamming. But he could at least take the price tag off the Dussey. ;)

Sweet new tune on session 5, but I thought there were some notes in his "free-form" solo guitar work that didn't fit. I'm sure the kinks will be ironed out in the final take.

    I can't wait for August 13!
