1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Love the 5 selectable wattages! Also like how simple it is for a Mesa.

However, seems between The Lone Star/LSS, Fillmore, and now this they are covering a lot of the same ground.

Great, yet another amp from Mesa that I don't need but have to hunt down to try just to make sure.

The LS is getting a bit long in the tooth and hasn't appeared in the demo room of recent videos to come from Mesa. Wonder if it's going bye-bye?

Any reason the video portion does not play when trying to watch it on Youtube? Only audio. Works fine embedded here. Anyone else see this?

Fianally, a throwback and improvement on the old Blue Angel. A simple single channel amp for those that think Mesa amps are too complicated.

Anything inspired by the Blue Angel is fine by me! Selling mine is still up there with my other biggest gear regrets (like that time in ‘88 I passed on a mid-60s white Tele because its hardware was a little rusty—who knew!)

I"m sure we will find out soon....it's Mesa so nothing under $1000 for a combo. Probably in the ballpark of a Fillmore. It's higher wattage but it also is only a single channel.

    @MESA/Boogie is killing it lately!

I’m a total convert now. Main amps are an Electra Dyne and new-to-me Rectoverb 25. This looks super cool.

Makes me wonder if they’re killing off the Lone Star series. Between the Lone Stars and Fillmores, their catalog is getting crowded.

I'm thinking the same thing. Lone Star is more of a Vox thing but this and the Fillmore, def. both Fender-ish for sure.

Go Mesa. THIS seems like a great amp. Simple, no compromise tone. Just all-in on one fantastic and magnificent trick. That pony will ride, for sure.

I don't mind a 3 channel beast, but sometimes I just want Mesa to focus and say, "How do we make this one thing do its thing the best possible way?"

    Amen.

I owned a Mark V for awhile. It had so many excellent sounds it was like a modeling amp, but way better... but ultimately, there was always an amp that could pull off each of the individual sounds the MkV offered a little better, and the options were literally almost paralyzing. Super high quality amp, though, and built (as is the cliche) like a tank. Can't deny that.

It's up on the Mesa site (link) now too, no mention of price.

Confession, I skipped through the demo with the question: 'Does it Mark 1 or Dumble?'.

    One day....

I actually never thought I'd see a new single-channel amp from Mesa. Too bad it's a 4x6V6 and not a 2x6L6. I'm sort of over 4-tube power sections, unless it's a bass amp.

The power section switching options are overly complicated. All I really want is a 2x6L6GC amp that has pentode, triode, and ultralinear options. I don't need or want an amp that switches between push-pull and single-ended. And the options that turn off two of the tubes, how are they accounting for the change in plate resistance?
