I really like what I'm seeing and hearing (so far) with the new Fillmore. I have an Express 5-25+, and the only thing I don't like about it is the fact that both channels are voiced differently. I love the idea of each channel being able to have the same voice. That would allow me to get exactly what I want from each channel. I find myself fighting channel 2 on the Express

I'm also glad Mesa kept the amp simple, by that I mean no switchable rectifiers, power tubes, graphic EQ's or cab clone. That stuff all makes the amp heavier and more expensive.

    I've been a Mesa fan since 1990, when I bought a 22 Caliber+, then a 50 cal+, then a MKIII, then a Single Rec...and lastly the express

My first impression was more along the lines of a blackface Bassman, which is a similar yet distinct flavor. We’ll know more soon.

Not at all weird. LSS is a fantastic amp. My drummer friend has one that he got for a rediculous price. I just want to take it from him, lol. I bring over different pedals and all my pedals sound good in that thing.

Not weird that I like the LSS. It's a great amp, IMO.

Weird that I've liked and used the same amp for close to a decade now. That seems kind of un-TGP. Thus, I'm hiding behind the chair.

If I had an LSS,I would be happy and not need to stray.
The cleans on those are the nicest I've heard.
I lived on Saltspring and took the ferry over to L&M in Victoria one day.
    Now that's a commute.
    Tried a LSS there.
    Beautiful,beautiful amp.
For my needs at that moment I went home with an Express 5.50+ combo.
The new Fillmore has my interest though.

I am interested in this amp. I do think amp manufacturers would be doing themselves a big favor by having a demo that establishes a clean/ fundamental sound before moving into a distorted sound. I would prefer to hear a strong clean sound first, to me that would tell me what I could with an amp, after the clean sound is over. We don't turn them down. We turn them up. IMHO.

    My feelings exactly !!
I heard zero beautiful cleans on that demo.
Once I test this amp in person, then I'll know for sure.

The amp sounds good. Not necessarily my cup of tea but I am glad it doesn't sound like a Fender, or at least I don't think fender when I hear it or Marshall.

Agree...that’s one reason I enjoy Brett Kingmans demo videos so much, he always establishes the clean tone first

My guitar is a 40 pound Gorilla.
I am a monster who eats kids and old farts for lunch at the JJ dojo and love inflicting pain.

That said, that amp in that clip is nothing special.
If I watch a clip where it is special, I will say it. I really wanted to hear something special because I have been looking for an amp for a long time.

If I want a HR Deluxe Reverb, which is what I thought this one would be, I will go Chieftain, otherwise I will jump into the vox-ac M-DC side of the world.

Very interested in this amp and its features...and it would be my first Boogie.
Some interesting options coming as well, according to the Hollywood store.

Oh man I’m so intrigued and curious about that amp! I so wish I could play one to see and hear for myself.

You are derailing. There is a Glasswerks Zingaro thread available. Why pollute a New Mesa Amp thread crowing about your wonderful amp? One dedicated thread isn't enough?

The only thing is that I don’t know if it will be a bit of an overlap with my redplate MDD. But then again, I have had Glaswerks on my list for a long time.
Maybe the Galswerks and then the Matchless and that is it.

I keep coming back to this thread and then I saw that foot switch and said, “sold!”
