New or used Kemper?

What do you think? I'm Dutch so typically I buy used but I'm kind of inclined to buy new in the case of a digital piece worth $2k.

If I buy new I likely have to wait ~6 months to get a proper foot controller.

Thoughts?

I would buy new. I bought an early production model and some LEDs went out on the pots. Kemper has been great with the customer service so no complaints, but maybe the first batch of LEDs have issues. Otherwise, I think you will enjoy the KPA.

I was one of the early adapters here in the states. My unit is still working like a champ. With used there is always the downside in certain things but also good if you can save enough money to make it worth any potential unknowns that come with used gear.

If you can get it used for at least 20-35% less than a new unit price, I would go for it. All new units are still in warranty since the KPA was released less than a year ago.

Another early Kemper owner here and I've had absolutely no problems with my unit. I also own an 11 Rack and its been rock solid as well. That being said, I generally buy new when it comes to these kind of purchases. When it comes to guitars, cars, and most everything else except shoes and clothes, I primarily look for the used item first.

Unless the warranty is transferable, I'd be getting new. Expensive electronics are one place I like warranties.

i'd buy a new one;
the software in the early ones starts getting all faded-out, & stuff.....
really, what's worse than relic'ed code?

Think I might buy new this time...no repair centers in Canada and if I have to ship it for repair even one time then I'll negate most of my savings.
