hi guys - I thought I'd share my newest project with you all.

I built the body with a semi-hollow alder back and bookmatched flame maple top. The neck is a Wamoth strat style maple/rosewood with stainless steel frets. A friend helped with gluing the seams together.

Pickups are two Fralin P90s and an unpotted 9K monster Lollar in the bridge.

Controls are a 5-way pickup selector, master volume, tone, and a bass cut. The tone and bass are push-pull for bridge pickup phase switching and neck+bridge... 10 different pickup options - yikes!

The body was finished by my friend Gord who's got a bit of a business going... I wanted a blonde Gibson archtop vibe to it and a natural binding as well. I think it turned out nice.

It sounds sort like a bastard child of a Goldtop P90 LP and a Tele or Strat. The bass cut rolls off some bottom end to get closer to Fender sounds, but it's not *that* much different from rolling off the volume a bit, so the jury is still out...

great work. I really like the bass cuts control. Similar to volume rolloff but better. It does not get muddy like some roll offs do. Enjoy her for a long time.

Sean, wow, there's some great work in that one- tone, too, I bet. Beautiful design and execution, the judges score all 10s for that one (trying to get into the 2010 spirit!). You know, if you ever make it across the Sound, I've got some nice amps to plug it into...:JAM
