Hey guys! I've spent a few weeks redesigning the layout for my Solaris (Centaur Klone) to allow it to fit into a 1590A mini enclosure. I successfully built a prototype that has a very low noise floor (lower than most of the Klones I've heard) and all the tone and behavior of the original. Here's a blog post with a couple pics. I'm still undecided on the knob for the tone pot. My other pedal designs use a knurled pot that is shorter and more out of the way of the foot switch action. I will probably go with the knurled pot as there is no other location for the tone pot than where it is on the proto, and the shorter shaft would be beneficial. I hope to have comparison clips up in a few weeks. Your thoughts are welcome! Thanks, Law http://lawrencepetrossdesign.weebly.com/newsblog/new-lpd-solaris-layout

Hey edgie! The prices are on the website but depending on where you purchase can be lower. Every so often I will sell them on ebay for a little less than they sell for at The Music Store site.

Let me know which ones you're interested in and I'll give you a quote.

The new mini klone Solaris is $225
    The Germanium fuzz is $225
Most of the others are in the $140 range

I have four new models coming up that are in the prototype stage. I'll post soon.

    Thanks for the interest!

Thanks for the reply and info too. The dark echo is interesting as well and your pedals look nice. May I ask, have you considered putting the jacks offset to each other like other mini pedals or did the circuits limit their placements?

    Thanks edgie!

The input output jacks are offset from one another as you can see in this pic of the Solaris (Klone). [IMG]

Their placement is determined by the space available inside the enclosure (which isnt much). They are placed is the same location on all the LPD pedals with the power jack at the top.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if there is any other info I can provide.

    Thanks for the interest!

    Thank you EminEsref!

In my comparisons to the original, there's more affect from the part tollerances than the cap material difference. So as long as the parts are as close as possible in value to the original, you get a very similar sounding pedal. More directly to answer your question, not that I can measure or hear. Im sure the mojo factor is slightly reduced when using MCC, but I dont notice any adverse affect on tone, feel or noise.

    Thanks for the question!
