In that case you could just use the head. It would fit great and be way lighter than a combo.

True, I'd still like to have the speaker for personal monitoring even when using IEM's. Since i don't have an external cab, i guess i'd just end up buying some studio speakers for at home playing if buying just the head? Not sure what i'd do. I suppose i could have a cab and just leave it at home and only use the head playing out, but i think a small combo cab would be the preference.

Everybody is different, I guess? I wouldn't even consider a combo.

Yea I feel the head gives you the most flexibility, I mean you could pair it with a small 1-12" cab or even a 1-10" and it'll work great, or just take the head and go d.i. if you're trying to really travel light. Just plugging the thing directly into a powered studio monitor sounds killer! We ran right out of it into a Dynaudio and it sounds just great like that. I'll show this in a vid sometime soon. I need to try and capture how it sounds at low volume in a room with a small powered monitor...

I'd love to hear how it sounds in a room with a loud drummer ;)

That sounds great Pete. Any idea how high you had to run the volume? (I'm really interested in this little guy, mostly for live.)

It was up there. Pretty loud band, bass player had an Aguilar that was pumpin. So I had the overall master around 6, getting into pushing the power amp. But it sounded great!

I was thinking to really check out the DI/IR of this amp run it into my Atomic CLR. Right now I'm using the AX8 -> FRFR (Atomic CLR on it's way which I know is great because I've already used it).
So for home, PT15-IR into recording rig OR nice speaker cab (low volume).
For gigs, PT15-IR into FOH/IEMS and then choose whether I want to start with the CLR -OR- the regular guitar cabinet.

    Thoughts?
I may have missed it but does the amp include a footswitch? If so, built in cable/regular cable? Sorry but don't want to wade through this monolithic thread :)

Perfect ... in the zone then.

I haven't wanted to switch up my amps in years, but I'm pretty interested. I'll have to get myself on the list. Thanks.

Includes 2 button footswitch that uses a simple TRS cable.

I have a CLR, I love those things. I have a pair actually. I will most likely demo that setup in a video with the amp soon!

The simple 2 button footswitch and cable will be included!

I noticed you didn't mic the cab. What's up with that? :D

Why mic up with built in IRs per channel?

Ha! Seriously, was all to easy to hand the sound guy a trs cable and have him plug er in to an open channel :) Seriously was so cool to just do that.. 10 seconds and it was all set up and perfect in the PA and the wedge, I got a bit in there as the cab was RIGHT behind me shooting at my knees so I couldn't hear it as well as I would have liked! Tiny stage

Is there an overdrive you are planning to use in place of the 100's boost?

My main OD is a J Rockett Archer that's got the special Jeff Beck mods, I love that pedal! It's been my main lead pedal for awhile now. Just does what i want! I also really like the Koko boost, the mids just push the amp and make it sing.

Do you use those for gain channels into the clean or pushing the gain on the amp dirty channels?
